Already looking ahead: 2011
Watching the fireworks display on the Harbour Bridge in Sydney (courtesy of CNN)…I’d really like to spend New Years there next year…it’s cool to be in the first big city to bring in the new year

3 day weekend alert
MLK Weekend (Jan 16-18)…my parents want me to come down and see them, since they are now residing there seasonally until Easter, or so. However, tickets to Miami/Florida in general are way too expensive ($600+ for a weekend = not worth it) I did a random search and found that tickets to California were half the price, which is doable if you book it as a package with hotel, or better yet,...

Slow day at the office= Oprah's "Who Are You?"...
Results based on personality science YOU ARE STRIVING TO BE KNOWLEDGEABLE You are an intellectual: As a leader, you’re often ahead of your time. As an employee, you try to surpass the competence level of peers, even managers. Incisive and curious, you’re driven to deeply understand how things work. But that’s things, not people. Oh, your family and friends are important;...

New Years Resolution →
Enough with my gym routine…it’s time to step it up. My oldest sister did this for 4 months and lost 40 pounds. Although I’m not looking to do necessarily that, it would be nice to get back to my senior year college weight of 165, but an ultra-tones 165. This is definitely a worthy investment. They have a 6 week program and I think I just might do it starting sometime in January

Quadruplets accepted to Yale →
One of the worst things about being able to comment on something is the hate/anger/prejudice that can come out of certain people because of the ability to be anonymous. Nevertheless, I think this is a great story about 4 siblings, who bring diversity both in their background, but in their talents too. We’re always so quick to judge someone based on numbers, life is all about that these...

A certainly unique year
1) Was 2009 a good year for you? Overall, I’d say yes. 2) What was your favorite moment of the year? Spring break in North Carolina & the submission of my thesis. 3) What was your least favorite moment of the year? Three things: the week leading up to the submission of my advertising plansbook. The month of april I spent in the library writing my history thesis. ...

last night/this weekend
My fraternity brother/past roomate Phil, whose a 1L at Seton Hall law calls me last night while I in the middle of eating dinner (an arugala sandwich with goat cheese, roasted red peppers and avocado) while watching xena bloopers on youtube (why i’m still single, but I digress. He and his section finished finals and they invite me to go out. Normally, I’m not down to go out late on...

Kick it up a notch...
Why I’m so lucky to live in NYC—Having a gym across from the hotel in midtown where you take your series 7 prep classes. My Mondays and Wednesdays are about to get longer. Because I’ve been working out and not really seeing the results I had hoped to in the first month or so, I’m going to make some lifestyle changes and cut back on a few things: + Alcohol—I...

Weekend in a nutshell
Friday night: Drinks and dinner with some friends from high school, then schiller’s liquor bar on the lower east side with college friends Saturday: Went to go see Up in the Air, but it was way too crowded, so I ended up seeing the Princess and the Frog. Went to an apt party Saturday night and a bar afterwards Sunday morning: Walk of shame/subway of shame from a girl’s apartment in...

Gift to myself (don't judge)
I’m getting my first real deep tissue massage tomorrow. I’m kind of hoping it relieves a lot of tension that my body has been holding lately

Leisure reading
How did I not know about publicagenda.org ? For some reason, I got to work around 7:10 this morning and I allowed myself to browse a number of articles regarding education, healthcare, and the environment (the three agendas I’m most knowledgeable about) Worth a good read

Spruce Up
I didn’t make it to the gym at 5am this morning…which means I MUST go tonight. I also need a haircut I need a tan too. I just came back from the bathroom and maybe it was just the florescent lights, but I don’t look very good. Normally, this kind of superficiality doesn’t bother me, but I’m very much obligated to look my best at work…Need to work on that...

Detox
I get these health kicks every once in a while I know I can’t speak for everyone, but out of most 23 year old male adults I know, I seem to have a healthier lifestyle. Since working (Approx 6 months ago) I walk about 2.5 miles to work (to and from) Monday to Friday, which totals 12.5 miles a week, 50 miles a month, and just about 300 miles to day (wowza!) Between Monday and Friday I...

It's been a while
Sorry I haven’t updated…I haven’t had much fun life stuff to post about. It’s been a weird work week. I was supposed to go to D.C. for an event on Saturday, but it’s my fraternity brother who wants to bring me as his date. He’s not gay, i’m not gay…it’s just a bro thing. On the other hand, it’s weird for the college graduate to show up....
